Design Wall (Floor) Monday

I'm making progress on my Patches and Pinwheel quilt.  I finished the pinwheels this week and now I just need to sew the rows together.  I am undecided about what colors to use for the border - suggestions are welcome.

Happy sewing!

  1. I always love these quilts. Sew striking for the simple blocks. If I were doing this one, I'd make one border of the background, then a multi-color fabric for a larger outer border. Of course, piano keys always look good on these.I like the one on Elaine's blog http://elaineadairpieces.blogspot.com/2012/04/pinwheels-and-4-patches-done.html

  2. What a bright and happy quilt. Borders...I think anything you like will work just fine.

  3. This is such a fun and colorful pattern. The nice part is the border can be just about any colors. Enjoy.

  4. beautiful. I think any color from the body of the quilt would work for the border. I'd choose one that went with my bed skirt or sky blue or red. Shoot brown would be a good choice too.

  5. What a great quilt! I love a scrappy border on a scrappy quilt. I"m with Becky, background color for first small border then use up more scraps for a piece final border.
