Thought I would do before and after pictures of the kitchen update. Not sure about the light fixture above the table, thinking I need to update that too. Pictures on the walls - need opinions - kind of thinking of black frames, not sure. Like I said I'm open to ideas.

Much improved - you no longer have a country kitchen. I think updating the light fixture would be good, too.

Light fixture has to go....How about something gold?
Picture frames...have you considered white? With a gold or bronze light fixture, that would break it up a bit.
But who am I to talk. I've been in this house more than 5 years and I still have white walls everywhere!
